Stress Echo

Stress Echocardiography, commonly known as Stress Echo, is a diagnostic test that combines an echocardiogram with a stress test to evaluate how well your heart functions under physical stress. This test helps detect areas of the heart that may not be receiving enough blood or oxygen during exercise, which can indicate coronary artery disease or other heart problems.

During the procedure, Dr. Vishwanath Yadav monitors your heart’s activity while you either exercise on a treadmill or receive medication that simulates exercise. Ultrasound images of the heart are taken before and immediately after stress to observe changes in heart wall motion and function. This test is safe, non-invasive, and provides valuable information beyond a standard resting echocardiogram.

The insights gained from a Stress Echo help Dr. Yadav tailor treatment plans for patients with chest pain, unexplained shortness of breath, or known heart conditions. Early detection through Stress Echo enables timely interventions that can improve heart health, prevent complications, and enhance overall quality of life.
