ABPM

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) is a diagnostic test that measures your blood pressure at regular intervals over a 24-hour period while you go about your normal daily activities and sleep. This provides a more accurate picture of how your blood pressure behaves throughout the day, compared to a single reading taken in a clinic setting.

Dr. Vishwanath Yadav uses ABPM to diagnose conditions such as white-coat hypertension, masked hypertension, and to evaluate how well blood pressure medications are working. A small, wearable device is fitted to your upper arm and waist, which automatically records your blood pressure every 15 to 30 minutes during the day and night.

ABPM results help Dr. Yadav create a personalized treatment plan that reflects your real-life blood pressure patterns. It is a valuable tool in preventing complications related to uncontrolled hypertension, such as heart disease, stroke, and kidney damage, by ensuring that blood pressure is accurately measured and effectively managed.
